Michael McLaughlin was born and raised in Long Beach, New York.   He studied Fine Arts at Mercyhurst College and SUNY Farmingdale.  Michael is an award winning artist, recognized for his work of the Southwest, animals and the beauty of nature.  He is a member of the West End Arts League, Artist in Partnership of Long Beach and the Professional Artist Program of National Fine Arts Registry

Michael worked as a graphic artist and animator for the New York Mets between 1990 and 1992.  He was the owner of Quantum Graphics, an animation and graphic company and supplied graphics and animations to Major League Sports, including: the Rangers, Knicks, METS, Yankees, Islanders, Jets, MetroStars and the Big East Basketball.  Additionally, he supplied corporate designs for Bank of New York and Tasty Cake.

Michael's work reflects his love and appreciation of marine life and our natural surroundings.  After traveling to the South West in 1993, Michael was inspired by the majestic landscape and local Native American culture of New Mexico and Arizona.  He resides in Long Beach, N.Y. as well as Santa Fe, N.M. where he has a studio and his work is on display.   The Long Beach Business community displays many of his creations and can be viewed at Listen 2 Your Art Gallery, Long Beach Florist, Rock-n-Robins Enchanted Cauldron and Radiant Life Holistic Center.
